- INTRODUCTION

- Matrix is a shareware strategy game for OS/2. The game is played with two
- players, with the opponent being either computer or human. The game consists
- of colored tiles and a playing board. Players attempt to score by matching
- tile colors on the board with tiles in the player's hand.

- INSTALLATION
-
- These files are in this release:
- MATRIX.EXE - runtime
- MATRIX.HLP - online help file
- README.MAT - this file
- FILE_ID.DIZ - BBS id file
- VENDOR.DOC - vendor licensing info
- HISTORY.DOC - version info

- Copy the first two files to any directory. Run MATRIX.EXE to play. Click on
- the HELP menu item for more info. You can press ctlr-c to display a Table of
- Contents at anytime when the online help is displayed.

- Matrix is a non-destructive game - it will not make changes to CONFIG.SYS or
- the system/user INI files.

- OBTAINING MATRIX

- Matrix is shareware. You have a 45 day trial period before you are required to
- register the game. To print the registration form, click on 'Help' from the
- main menu, then the 'Help' submenu item, then click on 'Registration'.

- PROBLEMS

- Version 1.2 currently has a minor bug, resulting in the computer player to
- occasionally play an illegal move (usually an overlapping tile move). If this
- occurs, try selecting Undo a few times, then start playing again. If
- necessary, press the 'New Game' button. Users will always come across other
- bugs. Please let us know of any problems via email by placing "Matrix bug" in
