  4. IBM SearchManager/2 (Program Number: 5622-018) is an advanced
  5. information retrieval product for Single Work Stations.
  6. It is recommended for machines that have no communications software or
  7. where the information is to be kept in a controlled environment
  8. without access from other machines.
  9. SearchManager/2 provides full-text search support for unstructured text
  10. data (documents).  This support allows users to search for documents
  11. that are stored in any database, library or repository by querying their
  12. textual content after the documents have been indexed.
  13. SearchMamager/2 is a 32-bit OS/2 2.0 application and offers a CUA 91
  14. conform user-friendly dialog both for end users and administrators.
  15. It also enables customers to use full text search capabilities within
  16. their applications via an Application Programming Interface (API)
  17. and user exits.

  19. IBM SearchManager Client/2 (Program Number: 5621-403) and IBM
  20. SearchManager LAN Server/2  (Program Number: 5621-404) are the
  21. respective products for a Client/Server environment using either LAN
  22. or TCP/IP communication software.  In such a configuration many Client
  23. Work Stations can retrieve information stored on one or several Server
  24. Work Stations.
