  3. The user is hereby granted the right to use the program MATHMATE
  4. within the 30 days evaluation period and to distribute this 
  5. program provided no fee is charged for this distribution. 
  6. The user can use MATHMATE at his own risk. If you do not register
  7. within the evaluation period you must erase the program files 
  8. from your PC.

  16. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
  17.  
  18. The program Mathmate is a reliable assistant for fast numerical
  19. calculations, which is intended first of all for scientists and
  20. engineers, but can be used also as a simple calculator.
  21.  
  22. Mathmate calculates, integrates and sums up mathematical
  23. expressions and solves equations containing numbers, variables, 
  24. arithmetical operations, elementary and special functions, 
  25. mathematical and physical constants.

  27. The program has a number of advanced interface features including
  28. on-screen keypads, a history list, keeping a record of
  29. computations in a protocol, error tracking, extensive help
  30. and automatic export of results to the Clipboard for use by
  31. other applications.

  33. The main distinguishing feature of Mathmate is a wide set of
  34. built-in special mathematical functions (24) which are
  35. calculated with the 8 bytes floating point maximum accuracy
  36. by effective fast algorithms.

  38. Mathmate is designed to work under OS/2 version 3.0. It was not
  39. extensively tested under previous versions of OS/2.

  43. To install Mathmate run the file mminstal.cmd provided in this
  44. distribution.

  49. for any damage of data on your computer caused by Mathmate usage.

  51. SHAREWARE NOTICE

  53. Mathmate is a shareware product. If you are using Mathmate after a
  54. 30 days trial period you must register. Your registration fee
  55. of $25/DM 40 is highly appreciated as means for further development 
  56. of this and other scientific programs in Ukraine. Universities and
  57. other educational institutions can obtain a site licence.

  101. This version of Mathmate is fully functional. Registered users can 
  102. have in addition full documentation in LaTeX or Postscript and a header
  103. file to use SPECFUNC.DLL in user applications for computation of 24
  104. special functions. Besides that, a REXX script can be provided to use
  105. MathMate calculation engine from a text-based OS/2 session.
  106. A Windows version of Mathmate is also available.
