  17. SUBJECT: TS-450/690S Low Mic Gain w/DSP-100 
  18.  
  19. Symptom: Proper microphone gain/ALC readings cannot be obtained unless the 
  20. user adjusts the TX GAIN potentiometer on the rear of the DSP-100. 
  21. This irregularity is caused by an instability of the DSP-100 MIC amplifier 
  22. (IC-5).

  24. Corrective Action: Replace capacitor C200 on the IF unit (X48-3090-11) 
  25. with R300, a chip jumper wire. This capacitor locoated on the foil side of 
  26. the PC Board near the DSP Connector.
