  17. SUBJECT: Difficult Battery Insertion
  18.  
  19. Symptom:
  20.  
  21. Insertion of the battery into the transceiver is difficult or impossible 
  22. due to problems with the release lever.
  23.  
  24. Corrective Action:
  25. 1.  A temporary cure is provided by loosening the two screws securing the
  26.     holder, shifting the holder to the extreme left, then retightening the 
  27.     screws.
  28. 2.  A permanent fix is provided by replacing the holder and release lever 
  29.     with new parts that have been de-burred and modified to allow relocation 
  30.     of the release lever.
