  17. SUBJECT: Protection of Q201 in 430 MHz Unit

  19. Symptom:

  21. Q201 the first RF Amplifier in the 430 MHz unit fails at random.
  22.  
  23. Corrective Action:
  24.  
  25. Addition of diode D218 in parallel with diode D214 in the RA line provides
  26. increased surge protection for Q201. This diode is added on the 430 Mhz 
  27. TX-RX Unit (X57-4000-11) near Q201.
