  19. Symptom:

  21. Microphone audio is mechanically intermittent., i.e. striking the microphone
  22. will cause audio to be lost or restored. 
  23.  
  24. Cause:
  25.  
  26. The lead wire of capacitor C8 might be shorting out against the case of the 
  27. ECM unit.       
  28.  
  29. Corrective Action:
  30.  
  31. Re-install the capacitor so that the leads cannot touch the ECM case.
  32.  
  33. Time required for this modification is 15 minutes or less.
