  17. SUBJECT: Blows ACCY Fuse in TS-50S
  18.  
  19. Symptom:
  20.  
  21. Attempting to tune the AT-50 when it is connected to an antenna with a
  22. relatively high SWR value might cause the ACCY fuse to open in the TS-50S. 
  23. This change will correct this tendency.   
  24.

  30. Procedure:
  31.  
  32. 1. Remove the top cover from the antenna tuner.
  33. 2. Locate X53-3470-00 D/4 (It is attached to the top left side of the
  34.    chassis with the foil side up.)
  35. 3. Add the two .047 uf capacitors across D303 andode and gate to Ground as 
  36.    shown in the drawing.
  37. 4. Replace the top cover.
  38.  
  39. No additional adjustments or modifications will be required.
  40.  
  41. Caution: This modification requires soldering equipment rated for CMOS type
  42. circuits. It also requires familiarity with surface mount soldering
  43. techniques. If you do not have the proper equipment or knowledge do not
  44. attempt this modification yourself.  Seek qualified assistance.
  45.  
  46. Time required for this modification is 30 minutes or less.
