  7. Dieser Patch entfernt den Twist-Eigenen Desktop. Dadurch wird die Benutzung
  8. dieser Datenbank einigermassen den Multitasking-Systemen der heutigen Zeit
  9. gerecht.

  12. Einschränkungen:
  13. ----------------
  14. -Da Twist keine AV_START Nachricht versteht, kann man leider keine weitere
  15.  Datei per Doppelklick an Twist übergeben, falls dieses schon gestartet
  16.  ist.
  17. -Ausserdem können keine Icons auf dem Twist-Desktop abgelegt werden, da
  18.  dieser nicht mehr existiert ;-)

  21. Installation/Durchführung:
  22. --------------------------
  23. Machen Sie eine Sicherheitskopie vom Original TWIST.PRG!
  24. 1) Kopieren Sie TWPATCH.TOS in das Verzeichnis von TWIST.
  25. 2) Starten Sie TWPATCH.TOS.
  26.    Falls keine Fehlermeldung auftaucht, wurde das Programm erfolgreich
  27.    gepatcht.
  28.  
  29. Danach, kann das Programm TWPATCH.TOS gelöscht werden, da es nicht mehr
  30. benötigt wird.

  32. Unterstützte Versionen:
  33. -----------------------
  34. Bis heute (12.10.2000) wird lediglich folgende Version erkannt und gepatcht:
  35. Twist 3.01 (vom 10.05.1995):
  36.     TWIST.PRG mit der Länge 527'974 Bytes

  61. This Patch removes the desktop of the database Twist. This makes the program
  62. more useable with todays multitasking systems (like MagiC or N.AES).

  65. Disadvantages:
  66. --------------
  67. -Because Twist doesn't respond to the AV_START message, you can't open
  68.  a second Twist file by double clicking in your favorite desktop shell.
  69. -You also can't access the Twist desktop with it's icons (trash, clipboard,
  70.  ...). But as I think every action can also be accessed by the menu or
  71.  a shortcut.

  74. Installation/Patching:
  75. ----------------------
  76. Make a backup of the original TWIST.PRG!
  77. 1) Copy TWPATCH.TOS into the TWIST directory.
  78. 2) Start TWPATCH.TOS.
  79.    If no error message was displayed the program patch was successful.

  81. After this procedure TWPATCH.TOS is no more needed. You can delete it if
  82. you like.
