- Think of yourself as a fresh-out-of-the-academy Cadet. And your side is
- currently engaged in a feverish ongoing war with the other side. And they need
- a few good people to guide starships to help extinguish the other side. One
- day, that assignment comes to you -- YOU will be guiding the next starship.
- YOU will be the one who brings glory to your side. But it's going to be tough.
- If it wasn't tough, you wouldn't be here.
-
- Your mission? To CAPTURE as many Neutral planets as you can and make them your
- allies. Destroy as many enemy bases, and attempt to capture as many enemy
- planets as you can. But beware, many forces in the universe will attempt to
- halt your mission. The Acherons, friends to no one but themselves, have been
- out there firing at will at everyone. Your enemies will definitely do
- everything in their power to stop you. That is why you must be wiser beyond
- your years. You will be given a trainer ship to start off. The trainer ship
- really cannot inflict a whole lot of damage on enemies, that is why you should
- stick to capturing possessions for your side. If you encounter an enemy, use
- your instincts. Don't give them an inch of air.
-
- If you do engage in combat, there are certain things that you should consider.
- The farther you are away from a target, the less of an impact your hit will
- have on them. So try to get as close as possible to do the most possible
- damage. Also, if you are docked at an allied planet or base, you are free to
- use as much of their weaponry as you want. Meaning, there is no limit to the
- amount of torpedoes or phaser energy you can use while docked.
-
- Some little hints to play by..
- o If you encounter a docked enemy firing on you, try to get him away from
- that starbase or planet. Either attack the base/planet, or use torpedo
- displacement to jar him away from his dock.
