Fuzz for A-Max II
-----------------
Fuzz is a program that reduces PAL/NTSC interlace flicker by anti-aliasing
the display. You can use it by putting it in your A-Max System drawer and
rebooting the emulator. Be sure to have a clean boot disk available in case
something goes wrong and you get a scrambled display.
There are two versions: Fuzz for A-Max II V2.06 and Fuzz2 for A-Max II V2.5.
Since these programs are quick hacks they are not guaranteed to work on all
setups and are almost guaranteed not to work on any future version of A-Max.
There are already some known problems: Fuzz stores it copper list over some
'reserved exception vectors' that happen to be used for FPU and MMU exceptions
on 68020+ and therefore doesn't work with some debuggers. Fuzz2 stores it's
copper list directly over the old one and if A-Max for any reason rewrites
it the display will be screwed. On my system Fuzz2 messes the display if I
move the mouse pointer to the right border but I haven't got any reports of
this happening to anybody else.
Do not try using any ECS display modes or virtual screen sizes with Fuzz. It
won't work...
These programs are freely distributable for non-profit purposes. If you like
them or hate them send me some mail...
