¢ PRESIDENTS MESSAGE¢ by¢ ALEX PIGNATO¢¢No, I am not the president of the OL'¢HACKERS, but as Vice President, I feel¢it is my duty to take up the reins¢until a new president is elected, be¢it at the July 21 meeting, or¢thereafter.¢¢AL BEITCHMAN, has gone the way of the¢16 BIT. Seems as how he got his hands¢on a 16 BIT Clone, which he is using¢to help him in his office work with an¢IBM in the use of a certain style of¢SPREAD SHEET. I understand that he got¢it as a gift from his nephew. Nice¢gift, no? At least AL made the change¢to make his job easier somehow. This I¢respect and understand.....We are¢sorry to lose him but as the saying¢goes...LIFE GOES ON, and so does the¢OL' HACKERS!¢¢At this point, I should mention that¢we are holding our own, cause it seems¢as though if we loose a member, we¢seem to get 1 or 2 new ones!¢¢Now to go on with other¢matters..Please be sure to read my¢article about my very pleasant call¢from none other than BOB BRODIE, the¢ATARI USERS GROUP coordinator, who¢just got back from visiting ATARI¢shows and USERS GROUPS. BOB admits¢that while ATARI is not in a position¢to support us 8 BITTERS, he has a¢great deal of respect/admiration for¢us diehard 8 BITTERS! He promised to¢do all that he personally can do to¢help us. He also said that there were¢only a handfull of 8 BIT (only) clubs¢in the U.S.A., so we in OL' HACKERS¢can be justly proud of our unique¢position.¢¢¢This is our first NEWSLETTER, using¢the program made for us by our member¢KRIS HOLTEGAARD. Kris is a diehard 8¢BITTER and though he knows how to use¢a 16 BIT PC, and might even get one¢some day, I doubt that he will ever¢loose his love affair with the 8 BIT.¢THANKS KRIS!¢¢We, my Co-Editor CARLOS, and myself,¢would love to receieve your comments,¢be thay favorable or unfavorable, so¢please send those letters in..Your¢comments will be given consideration.¢Now that Summer is here, I expect that¢computing will slow down, but thanks¢to our LIBRARY hosts, and air¢conditioning our summer meetings are¢stll great fun.¢¢¢¢ ******** THATS **************¢¢¢¢ ************* ALL ************¢¢¢¢ **************** FOLKS *******¢¢ ¢
