  7. tongue:
  8.     A variety of meat, rarely served because it clearly
  9.     crosses the line between a cut of beef and a piece of
  10.     dead cow.
  11.  
  12. yogurt:
  13.     Semi-solid dairy product made from partially evaporated
  14.     and fermented milk.  Yogurt is one of only three foods
  15.     that taste exactly the same as they sound. The other
  16.     two are goulash and squid.
  17.  
  18. recipe:
  19.     A series of step-by-step instructions for preparing
  20.     ingredients you forgot to buy, in utensils you don't
  21.     own, to make a dish the dog won't eat the rest of.
  22.  
  23. porridge:
  24.     Thick oatmeal rarely found on American tables since
  25.     children were granted the right to sue their parents.
  26.     The name is an amalgamation of the words "Putrid",
  27.     "hORRId" and "sluDGE".

  29. preheat:
  30.     To turn on the heat in an oven for a period of time
  31.     before cooking a dish, so that the fingers may be
  32.     burned when the food is put in, as well as when it
  33.     is removed.
  34.  
  35. oven:
  36.     Compact home incinerator used for disposing of bulky
  37.     pieces of meat and poultry.
  38.  
  39. microwave oven:
  40.     Space-age kitchen appliance that uses the principle
  41.     of radar to locate and immediately destroy any food
  42.     placed within the cooking compartment.
  43.  
  44. calorie:
  45.     Basic measure of the amount of rationalization offered by
  46.     the average individual prior to taking a second helping
  47.     of a particular food.
  48.  
  49. arab coffee:
  50.     Thick, black, bitter coffee, traditionally served in
  51.     tiny cups at gunpoint.
