SPAGHETTI PIE
6 oz. spaghetti
2 T. butter
1/3 c. grated parmesan
2 well beaten eggs
8 oz. cottage cheese (ricotta)
1 lb. ground beef or sausage
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. chopped green pepper
8 oz. canned tomatoes
6 oz. tomato paste
1 t. sugar
1 t. oregano
1/2 t. garlic salt
1/2 c. shredded mozzarellaCook spaghetti and drain. Add butter, parmesan cheese, and
eggs. Form into crush in buttered 10-inch pie plate. Spread
cottage cheese or ricotta over bottom. Brown meat and vegetables
until tender. Drain off fat. Sir in undrained tomatoes and
remaining ingredients except cheese. Put meat mixture into
crust. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Sprinkle
with mozzarella and bake 5 more minutes. Makes 6 servings.
