* Author's Notes *
Please feel free to praise/condemn this PWAD anytime. I'm always
looking for ways to better my level-making capabilities. But the only
way I can do this is if I hear from you great DOOM players. Let
me know about any bugs or comments so I can make this WAD a joy to play.
I'm usually in Compuserve every day. I promise to respond to each and
every comment I receive.
One last note: Only experienced players should tackle this episode on UV.
It is extremely tough!
THE STORY CONCLUDES...
The roars of the enemy fill your ears. Quickly you dodge around the cornor,
narrowly missing the splash of another Cyber rocket. A scream punctuates the
explosion behind you. The metal clanking of many legs moves away from you.
What sounds like a hail of bullets is interrupted by the angry bellowing of
that metallic walking Tyranosarus Rex. Good! Looks like the big boys are
tangling again. You use these precious few seconds to catch your breath.
You've only been here for four minutes, yet all hell has broken loose! You
knew you were in trouble when you noticed the serenity OF this place. Of
course, that didn't last very long once you walked down the steps.
Cacodemons surround you. But they don't call you the "Caco Kid" for nothing!
Your plasma rifle spits out death as you blast those floating balls into
demon paste!
While fending off cacos, and solving the various traps, you reach the middle
building, your final destination. But something is wrong, you can't reach
it's middle. Perhaps you missed something. The hosts of evil continue
to grow, spat out one after another. Seeing a break in the multitudes, you
jump into the throng, battling towards one of the other four buildings.
A grating sound catches your ear, and you turn back towards the middle
building. You see the middle column slowly rise. Damn, you WERE ready.
Unfortunately, patience never was your virtue.
Vainly, you rush to activate the elevator. Maybe you can make it! The
grating sound can be heard again. Your hopes sink fast as the middle column
slowly lowers again.
Hmmm...you may be here longer than you think...a lot longer!
Hints for Welcome2
1. This level uses the two special functions that DOOM II provides for MAP07.
You may want to replay "Dead Simple" to get an idea how this level works.
2. This level ALSO has a time limit to it, so if you are not ready, I hope
you like Hell's hospitality. You'll be here a LONG time.
