  17. as the "funniest woman in the world"; at her home in Henley-on-
  18. Thames, England. Brandishing her long cigarette holder, Lillie
  19. delivered masterly double entendres and verbal sallies. She won
  20. a Tony Award in 1953 for her one-woman show An Evening with
  21. Beatrice Lillie and acclaim for her roles in such films as Exit
  22. Smiling (1927) and Around the World in 80 Days (1956).
