  16. Please read this README file and all the supplied documentation 
  17. BEFORE you continue the installation.

  20. 2. Installation Instructions
  21. =================================================================
  22. NOTE:  This driver should automatically begin installation when 
  23. it is executed.  If it does not, the default extraction path is:
  24. C:\Diamond\Update  .  In this directory you will find a program 
  25. called SETUP.EXE.  This is the installation utility.

  28. Manual Installation via .inf:
  29. -----------------------------------------------------------------
  30. Click Start, then Settings, then Control Panel.
  31.  
  32. Start the "Display" applet program. 
  33.  
  34. Select the 'Settings' page, push the 'Advanced' button. Click on 
  35. the 'Adapter' tab, push the 'Properties' button, clock on the 
  36. 'Driver' tab, and click on 'Update Driver'.
  37.  
  38. Push the "Have Disk" button and press "OK".
  39.  
  40. Specify the path to the new drivers' .inf file and press the 
  41.       <ENTER> key:
  42.       Example 1: Insert the drivers disk in the A: floppy drive,
  43.                  and enter A:\.
  44.       Example 2: Type in the name of the directory where you 
  45.                  copied the drivers, either on your local hard 
  46.                  drive or on a network shared drive.
  47.       Example 3: If you're not sure exactly where the drivers 
  48.                  are, choose the "Browse..." button and find them.
  49.  
  50. The "Select Device" dialog box will appear. Select the adapter 
  51. that corresponds to the one you installed in your machine and 
  52. click OK.

  54. Windows will copy the display drivers to the proper 
  55. directories on your system.
  56.  
  57. Continue choosing Close until asked to restart your machine from 
  58. the "Systems Settings Change" dialog box.
  59.  
  60. After the system has restarted, you can go back into the Display
  61. applet and select alternate screen resolutions, color depths and 
  62. related features.

  65. 3. Known Issues

  67. This driver resolves a Direct3D memory leak.
  68.  
  69. This driver improves OpenGL performance.
  70.  
  71. ICT Gamma scheme resets to default when color depth is changed.

  74. 4. Known Limitations 
  75. =================================================================
  76. Palletized textures are not supported.
  77.  
  78. This driver does not support DirectX 6.0 and as such will not work
  79. with versions of Windows 2000 prior to Release Candidate 3.
