Introduction
------------
This Application Note includes a floppy disk containing a run-time
edition of Microsoft Video version 1.1a for Windows. This maintenance
release provides the following improvements and corrections:
- Simultaneous playback of two .AVI files has been improved.
- Playback of loosely interleaved or noninterleaved files with
NetWare(R) Video has been improved.
- The compression algorithm has been changed to fully meet the
official Interactive Multimedia Association's adaptive-
differential-pulse-code-modulation (ADPCM) format
specifications.
- Performance of video playback has been improved, which corrects
a problem that causes shaky playback.
- The general protection (GP) fault problem has been corrected.
This problem occurs when you click embedded Video 1.1 for
Windows media objects in object linking and embedding (OLE) 2.0
clients.
- A slight memory leak that occurs with embedded objects has been
corrected.
