HELP FILE
FOR TOTAL CHOAS
************************************************************************
*DESCRIPTION:
All the buttons listed under description tell you what that
level is about, who made it, etc. Just click on the button
to view text file.
*INSTALL:
If you would to install a level just click install and it will
find your DUKE3D directory and hit F10 to copy it. To run the
level(s) exit TOTAL CHAOS and switch to your DUKE3D directory
and type SETUP. Then choose SELECT USER LEVEL and it will list
all the extra levels in a directory list. Choose your level
and hit SAVE & LAUNCH DUKE and that's all there is to it. HAVE FUN
*UNINSTALL Everytime you install a level it creates a batch
file so you can unistall it. Example if you install
1. TRC it creates a 1.BAT in your DUKE3D directory.
Just type the number 1 and it uninstalls all the files
that were copied. The batch file is always the same
number of the level you installed. Then delete the 1.bat
file at dos prompt. Example C:\duke3d>del 1.bat
*ARCHIVE
This is the library of duke levels all mixed it. It's basically
TOTAL CHOAS because there just so many levels we couldn't
arrange. The levels listed on the left are on the CD the
ones on the right are in your DUKE 3D directory. This is the
easier way to install them. Just tag them with space bar
and hit f10 to install them. This allows you to do as many
as you want at a time.
NOTE: You may only have about 40 levels in your duke3d directory
at a time because that's all SELECT USER LEVEL will
allow you to see. It's recommended that you delete
the levels after your done with them!!!
*MAIN:
This takes you back to the opening screen which contains CHEAT
CODES and FAQ'S.
*DUKEMATCH LEVELS:
This button or page will take you to list of DUKEMATCH LEVELS.
These levels were designed to be played with multiple players.
*SINGLE PLAYER LEVELS:
This button or page will take to list of SINGLE PLAYER LEVELS.
These levels were designed to be played with single player.
*MORE:
By clicking on this button it will show you a list of even more
levels.
*X:
The X sign in the right hand corner will close current window and
return you to the previous screen.
*-:
The - in the left hand corner will exit TOTAL CHOAS.
*ESCAPE (KEY):
If you hit the ESCAPE key it will exit the program.
*SOUNDS:
There is also a directory called sounds that has a collection
voc, wav files for you to add on. There located on the
CD-ROM under D:\>DUKE\SOUNDS.
