Quick summary of other threads - when using the 1.666 exe,
on e3m1 and e3m9 (which are quite similar, eh?), if you do the
lowering-steps where the shotgun is, then go in the lowest part
of the imps/tree (/caco at UV) room (right before the pink-guy-hall),
it exits to dos.
I'm at work right now, and I can't play, but I did fire up DEU and looked
at e3m1 real quick, and in the version 1.2 wad, one of the lines on the
way to the shotgun is tagged to both the shotgun-step AND the
sector-that-should-not-be-entered. The line does the "lower sector
floor and match floor" thing.
So the map "glitch" is there in version 1.2 also, but does it crash? If
not,
there's been a change in the EXE I guess. Is it just the 1.666 exe?
What about 1.6 1.5 1.4 betas? Could we have caught this sooner?
Can anyone find any other places where this line type is tagged
to more than one sector? Or any counter-examples?
Verifications needed...
Ciao for now.
