ATTENTION!!!! It seems that the people at ID have intentionally "leaked" Doom
II in an attempt to teach pirates a lesson. Some people on IRC have claimed
that after beating the copy of DOOM II that is illegaly floating around, a
digitized screen of John Romero and some of the other Doom authors frowning
and pointing at the camera comes up on the screen, followed by a message that
states "You pirates have screwed us over ever since we released Wolfenstein..
Now its our turn to do the screwing." - AND THEN IT WIPES YOUR HARD DRIVE CLEAN,
AND RESETS YOUR CMOS!
Oh well.. it was worth a try :) Hopefully you've already realized that I'm
joking.. wouldnt be a bad idea though, eh? Maybe when the "Pre-release" of
Quake starts to hit bulletin boards it will automatically erase itself after
like 5 minutes and give you a mean message :).. what do you think?
