ID is not on the verge of bankruptcy, so please cool off..

There you go, fight fire with fire. That always solves the problem,
doesn't it. Besides, do you actually think a virus would be in the
game? I mean, think about it, if they put a virus in there that read the
clock for a date before October of '94 and was activated depending on the
status of that date, then when they release the real thing to the
public, everyone who has a screwed up clock on their computer (there are
plenty of people that fall into that category) will have a virus-infected
computer. That would probably be illegal if not at the least unethical
of ID, so don't count on it.
>How can id make make kick-ass games if they're broke?
There not broke. Sure, it's costing them money, and sure, piracy is
illegal. But don't try and make it sound like ID is about to lay off
millions of employees and file bankruptcy because of this disaster. I'm
not trying to make the early release thing look trivial, I'm just trying
to put it in perspective. When all is said and done, I bet ID will stuff
their pockets full of cash. I doubt they'll lose money on a big game
like this. No, piracy is not right, and those who do so are violating
the law, but keep it in perspective..
