Yeah, but there are equally stupid arguments on the other side. Such as
"You are costing ID software, they're gonna go bankrupt, there will be no
Quake since Doom ][ sales are helping to fund the development of Quake."
But, just the same, your point is well made. Piracy is piracy, and
piracy is illegal. There are pros and cons to every situation, but these
pros and cons do not change the legality of whatever is at hand..

Great idea. Especially #2. I mean I haven't seen many people raising a
big stink over people who have pirated Doom 1, and I'm sure there's
plenty of those people on here right now. I think most of these people
who are so upset about the pirates is because they're living by the laws
and appear to be getting screwed since everyone else seems to have it, so
they somehow feel they can get revenge. And the pirates seem so
close-minded and think they can actually justify software piracy. Both
sides appear rediculous, so as you said, let's put an end to it all..
