Well, personally, I thought Doom2 was faster. If you play level 1 of
Doom, you'll see what I'm talking about. Now, if you warp to say, level
13, you'll see a lot of slowdown, but this is because Doom 2 is loaded
with a lot more enemies than Doom 1 (that's why they say it's harder).
If you cut down on all the action and put less enemies (the same # that
are in Doom 1), you'll probably find Doom 2 to be a bit faster. Also,
I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to have some extra RAM, a fast HD, and a good
disk cache to insure the optimum performance..
