The footsteps would be especially useful for deathmatch. Has anyone
compared the Gavis - MAX cards capabilities to the SB-AWE32? I used to
work in a retail computer store and we demo/compared the gravis ultra to
other cards and it was awesome sound on the midi. A real dog to get to
work with games. I think that the game industry could specify some
common API's for sound cards so that we could render the different sound
card-manufacturers priorities null.
Just a thought.
