I am a right-hander, and I use keyboard and mouse. The keyboard is
best for gross movement, the mouse is superior for aiming and creeping
around. I wish the keys on the left side of the 'board were lined up in
nice columns like the numeric keypad is, but oh well. Here is my keyboard
layout:
Strafe Left Strafe Right
Q E
Turn Left Go Forward Turn Right
A S D
Go Backward
X
Fire Strafe Use
Cntrl Alt SPACEBAR
To run I press right mouse and S at the same time.
I have had good success with this layout.
