Ha! Yeah, I used to play the old Wolfenstein games on my Apple II+. Me
and my friend would play for hours. We'd always jump out of our skin as
we were quietly walking around, then one of those damned SS guys would
jump into the room, shouting either "SS!!!" or "Was ist??!!" (either
way, it was loud and scared the crap out of us). Similar to rounding a
corner in Doom and having a Demon standing there.
We had a few cheats for it too, could have 255 grenades, 255 bullets,
could even walk through walls. In the room with Hitler, we could
actually get into the chamber with him, and I think even shoot him.
Blowing the place was much more fun.
Those stick-like graphics were pretty good back them. Left more to the
imagination.
Wolfenstein-roulette - shooting those locked chests to make them open
faster, having it turn out to be a chest full of grenades - KABOOM!
What a game... and now we have DOOM. Ain't life grand?
Bye for now,

If you've done six impossible things this morning, why not round it off
with breakfast at Milliways, the Restaurant at the End of the Universe?
