Wrong Pal !!!!
You don't have to have much of a case to sue someone just lots of cold hard
cash. I promise you Id has that. Just the threat of a suit may delay the
final release date.
Further, Id doesn't have to win it's suit if it decides to bring one. All they
have to do is drag the suit out and cost the makers of Marathon big bucks and
at worst they will make other developers think twice about making a product
similar to theirs. And they could of course could in the mean time get an
injunction to keep Marathon from being distrubuted. Lastly, they could win a
suit....
You may not like it, and it may not be right, it's big business.
