Yeah, so. Is being in a flight simulator as realistic as being in a
real aircraft? I don't know, but it does seem that they do use them for
training both commercially and in the military. The statement "no matter
how good the hardware" I assume is refering to present day hardware?
If it isn't think about the holo deck(sp?) on Star Trek, it looks pretty
realistic to me. I think with nano-technology you could easily create
very realistic simulations. Of course nano-technology might not be out
for awhile, maybe in 1995? ;).
