In LineDef mode, change the SideDef reference number (Edit LineDef, bottom two
options) of the second SideDef to "-1". Then change the FLAGS, turning off
"Two-Sided" and turning on "Impassable". You will also have to reasign the
"Normal" texture (though sometimes not).

No. I am not sure if DOOM cares or not as I have never even attempted this
(if you mean that the linedefs cross each other).
