  14. I am presently writing a Client/Server suite of programs to allow DOOMers 
  15. to play each other via null-modem/modem/IPX/Telnet (all from the one 
  16. Client) but I need info on the specifics of the various packet formats in 
  17. the 512 byte packet buffer in the DOOMcom structure to enable me to write 
  18. the Server package.

  20. I have sent email to the id help desk requesting this information and 
  21. they basically told me (and I quote):

  31. The person who was kind enough to send me this reply was smart enough not 
  32. to put their name to it. You would think that if they have released 
  33. information about this then they would be happy to give it to people (or 
  34. sell it as the case may be). That attitude just doesn't wash with me.

  36. Never mind that though - any developers who DO have the DOOM packet 
  37. formats and ARE WILLING TO SHARE IT please send me some e-mail. I have 
  38. been looking for these specs for a while so I thought I would try the 
  39. source (but to no avail as you can see).
