And I thought I was insane! My Tseng 4000 based Diamond Speedstar
Plus is exactly the opposite, for all video modes (bright on first
power-on, dim after reset or ctrl-alt-del). I wonder why it makes a
difference....
I keep gamma up all the way. No reason. :)
