I just read your letter on the net called Deu for Dummies, hoping that it would
answer some of my questions.... but it didn't.
I have a pretty good understanding of Deu... ie. I've done doors, lifts, and
I'm working on a WAD which currently has about 50 sectors.
But now the problems start. Basically, it seems that a texture just totally
stuffs up somewhere. When I do the checks, I get no errors - so it's not just
a simple "missing texture" (I think).
I have tried just about everything. I had one big problem with a set of
stairs... I just moved all the vertices a little, so that the stairs had a bit
of a curve, and then no problems. But this is a real hassle.
Also, I have a big circular room with a "sky" texture, and several doors
leaving from it. When you approach each (and every) door, and walk up to it
(without openening it), you see a FULL screen texture of the sky. The ceiling
texture on the other side of the door is not sky, and the door works fine.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, and I have a feeling it may be something
simple. ANY help would be much appreciated.....
