  19. I am proud to announce that I have created a local area
  20. "DOOM" echo to FidoNet.  It is currently being gated into
  21. FidoNet, GhotiNet, NetUSA and now SCN-Net.

  23. The echo was created in order to establish unofficial
  24. support for one of the best games of the year so far.
  25. I will be able to personally help people with the game
  26. as I feel I am pretty knowledgable on many aspects of
  27. it.  I will offer hints, regular postings of updated
  28. FAQ's, support.  Participants can also announce requests
  29. for opponents (or teamsters) for modem games, and review
  30. individual WAD's, editors and add-ons.

  33. messages, we have a complimentary file echo to exchange
  34. the latest and greatest levels, level editors, and new
  35. versions of DOOM as they are released.  [DOOM-SDN]

  38. please contact Mike Mitchell at 1:2626/207 to arrange a feed.
  39. Who knows, maybe it may one day be on the FidoNet backbone!

  41. Currently, there are about 20 boards connected to the message-echo,
  42. and about 15 connected to the file-echo.  Both are becoming very
  43. active as we connect more nodes to the echos.
