Luckily, this is easy with DEHACKED. I've turned up the troopers speed
to something (I don't remember what) and they became so hard to hit that they
caused me as much damage as the [unaltered] sargeants!
There's some point where further increases in the speed number don't make
a noticable difference, BTW, so don't just crank it up all the way.
Now, this takes up more space than having a switch, unless of course you
make a little front-end for DEHACKED and DOOM. (Lousy COMMAND.COM: it would
be a simple script under a good shell.) I have a half-dozen DOOM.EXEs ready
to run for convenience. Although I don't use them all often enough to
justify them.
What DOOM needs is a monster that competes with you for weapons, ammo, and
artifacts ... E2M8 would sure be different if ol' Cyber only had, say, 30
rockets to start with and you had to race him to the cache.
