Are you complaining because Carmack and Romero have a Ferrari (spl?)
and a lot of dough?? COME-ON dood! For one thing 95% of that money is
going back into ID to make Doom ][ and Quake etc. Second of all, I
program in C code. The Doom engine woulkd have taken a HELL (on
earth... hehe) of a lot of time to write. Anyone that creates a thing
like that DESERVES a fricking Ferrari! (It would have been AT LEAST
4,000 pages of C) Jeezus it is not like they are on a 386 with a copy
of GW-BASIC that came with DOS 4.1 and like they are the only guys
there and like they are keeping all of the cash and not ever gonna make
a game again! Cool out people. I am surprised that Doom Reg. is so
CHEEP! Anything UNDER $100 for a PC is CHEEP these days. And for $40 it
is WELL worth it.
