I wish I could help, but the 3 systems I use for Doom (1.2) are 2 486 dx 33's
and 1 486 sx 33, only one of which is VLB. Doom runs GREAT. How much RAM
are on the systems? I've got 20 megs, my roommate has 16, and the 3rd system
(the sx) has 8. We use Netware Lite, without client or server loaded.
Your stuff should be flying! You may want to try only running the network
drivers and not the mapping stuff (i.e. client and server, or whatever they're
called in Personal Netware)
Hope this helps!
