Not only isn't it impossible, but it's also far from pointless.
Creative Labs often suggests such a combination for people who complain
about the AWE-32 needing TSR's for GM support. If you add the Wave
Blaster to it (and yes, it has a Wave Blaster connector) you can now get
GM support in all the GM games without the need of TSR's.
Of course you're then using the Wave Blaster instead of the AWE-32 patch
set but that's another matter. Also, the combination is a tad less
expensive than a trip to the moon. <g>
