You can always post to a moderated group by mailing to the group submission
address which in the case of alt.games.doom.announce is doom@mantis.co.uk.
Additionally, if you set the Newsgroups: header in your message to
something like alt.games.doom.announce,alt.games.doom it'll go to both
groups so folks with access only to a.g.d will see it as well.
If you can't munge headers in this way just add a note to the moderator
at the top of the article saying where you want it to go. I always read
articles in full before posting them and will strip off anything that's
obviously not for public consumption.
I'll crosspost certain articles, such as announcements from Id to other
appropriate groups anyway.
