  21. -> installed on my AWE32 card, and immediately after, I ran Doom setup,

  26. I'm getting the waveblaster, I've got a sb16. You mean that awe 32
  27. DOESN'T have the wave blaster built in? Sound Blaster is a rip off. They
  28. seem to produce things expressly for the purpose of selling overpriced
  29. add-ons. Of course the reason they can do this is because they're the
  30. best out there. I've heard other people say they get 'tinny' sound from
  31. both the Gus AND the AWE32. I notice YOU selected general midi. Maybe
  32. that's why, I dunno, they BOTH probably sound fine, as long as you get
  33. them configured correctly. Have you heard the sb16 with thw waveblaster
  34. and asp chip add-ons? How do they sound compaired to the awe32? From
  35. what I understand the difference is VERY tecnical, and the "PRO'S" don't
  36. think much of the awe32. It's the one reason I'm not too mad at the
  37. price of the wave blaster. With the sb16, I've HEARD, if you hook up to
  38. an ocilliscope you can see the difference. (?) I've HEARD the awe32 uses
  39. this NEW tecnology which is supposed to give you orchestra capability.
  40. I've also HEARD it doesn't work all the time, (bugs!) and I'm hoping the
  41. setup I've got is AS good. I'm TIRED of upgrading! What do YOU think?
