  3. This application expects that the Hauppauge Wincast/TV drivers
  4. are installed on your system. If you have not installed the
  5. Wincast/TV drivers please do so before installing this application.

  7. INSTALLATION
  8.  
  9. The installation of this product is done with the OS/2 MultiMedia
  10. Installation Utility MINSTALL.EXE. Run the installation utility
  11. and select the directory where you have unzipped the application
  12. files.
  13.  
  14. There are two products available for installation in this distribution:
  15.  
  16. Digital TV Media Device - this is the Media Control Device and
  17. a Vendor Specific Driver for the Hauppauge Wincast/TV drivers.
  18.  
  19. Digital TV Applications - this is the Television Application YADTV
  20. that is tailored to take advantage of the capabilities of the
  21. Digital TV Media Device.

  23. FEATURES

  25. The Digital TV Media Device will use either the GRADD direct draw
  26. capabilities of the Hauppauge Wincast/TV drivers or, if you are
  27. not using a GRADD video driver, will use DIVE for the display of
  28. the video image on the screen. The use of GRADD or DIVE is done
  29. automatically by the Digital TV Media Device.

  31. MINSTALL problems
  32.  
  33. There may be a problem with the MINSTALL program crashing with
  34. an error in PMMERGE.DLL. We have found that if you move the selection
  35. screen displayed by MINSTALL partly off the desktop the installation
  36. will continue normally without an error. This appears to be a bug
  37. in some versions of MINSTALL.
