DESCRIPTION
You get an error message, "OS2CDROM.DMD failed to load" when the CD-ROM
drive is connected to the secondary channel of a CMD640 controller.
RESOLUTION
1. Make sure you are using the latest drivers for the CMD640 controller.
Note: You can find these by downloading WARPINST.EXE from
the PCBBS at (919) 517-0001 or the Internet at
ftp.pcco.ibm.com/ps/pccbbs/corrective_svc.
2. In the CONFIG.SYS file on OS/2 Installation diskette 1, ensure that the
following two statements are present:
BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD
BASEDEV=CMDATAPI.FLT
3. Add the switch /CH2:0 to the end of the BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD
statement, as follows:
BASEDEV=CMD640X.ADD /CH2:0
