  8.          program again at this time.
  9. Action:  Run only one copy of the LAN Services installation/configuration
  10.          program at a time.
  11. HCause:   The LAN Services installation/configuration program is
  12.          unable to continue because there is not enough fixed-disk space on
  13.          this workstation.
  14. Action:  Make fixed-disk space available on this workstation by moving or
  15.          deleting files, and then try the installation again.
  16. HCause:   The LAN Services installation/configuration program is
  17.          unable to open or read this required file, or you have not logged
  18.          on with sufficient privilege to allow this required file to be
  19.          copied.
  20. Action:  Make a new copy of the product diskettes and try the installation
  21.          again, or log on with sufficient privilege and then try the
  22.          installation again.
  23. HCause:   The LAN Services installation/configuration program is
  24.          unable to load this dynamic link library (DLL).
  25. Action:  Make a new copy of the product diskettes try the installation
  26.          again.
  27. HCause:   The LAN Services locked file device driver is unable to
  28.          continue because there is not enough fixed-disk space on this
  29.          workstation.
  30. Action:  Make fixed-disk space available on this workstation by moving or
  31.          deleting files and then start the workstation again.
  32. HCause:   This error code indicates that LAN Services has detected
  33.          an parameter that is not correct.
  34.          The install command syntax is:
  35.          [d:\path\]LANINSTR {/SRV | /REQ} [/R:d:\path\filename
  36.           /G:d:\path /L1:d:\path\filename /L2:d:\path\filename]
  37.          where:
  38.          /SRV  specifies you are remotely installing server code.
  39.          /REQ  specifies you are remotely installing requester code.
  40.          /R    specifies the fully qualified file name of a response file.
  41.          /G    specifies the fully qualified path of an INCLUDE file
  42.                directory used by the response file.
  43.          /L1   specifies the fully qualified file name of an error log file.
  44.          /L2   specifies the fully qualified file name of a history log file.
  45. Action:  Try the command again using the correct parameters.
  46. HCause:   This error code indicates that LAN Services has detected
  47.          an access denied error while copying files to the fixed-disk on
  48.          this workstation.  You have not logged on with sufficient privilege
  49.          to allow the files to be copied.
  50. Action:  Log on with sufficient privilege and then try the installation
  51.          again.
  52. HCause:   This error code indicates that LAN Services has detected
  53.          an illegal value for the OS/2 environment variable
  54.          REMOTE_INSTALL_STATE.
  55. Action:  SET REMOTE_INSTALL_STATE=.  Then try the installation again.
  56. HCause:   The LAN Services installation/configuration program
  57.          could not initialize history and error logging due an error
  58.          accessing the specified file.
  59. Action:  Ensure that the file name specified is correct and that you have
  60.          access privileges for the file.  Then try the installation again.

  62.          format required to restore ACLs.
  63. Action:  Specify the correct file name on the /B parameter or correct the
  64.          format of the specified file.

  67. Action:  Type Help followed by the error number to determine the cause of
  68.          the error.
  69. HCause:   The APIs are not on this workstation or their path is not
  70.          in LIBPATH in CONFIG.SYS.
  71. Action:  Verify that the LIBPATH statement in CONFIG.SYS contains a pointer
  72.          to the APIs.  If you are using the 386 boot diskette, make sure that
  73.          the APIs have been copied to the fixed disk.
  74. HCause:   There is an error in the command syntax.
  75. Action:  Type the command followed by a ? to display the proper syntax.
  76. HCause:   The file or subdirectory specified on one of the command
  77.          parameters could not be found.
  78. Action:  Reissue the command with the proper file or subdirectory name.
  79. HCause:   The operating system returned an error on a file request
  80.          for the specified file.
  81. Action:  Type Help followed by the error number to determine the cause of
  82.          the error.
  83. HCause:   A request to create the specified file or subdirectory
  84.          failed.
  85. Action:  Ensure that the proper file or subdirectory was specified and that
  86.          you have the proper authority to create the file or subdirectory.
  87. HCause:   The required amount of disk space is not available on the
  88.          specified drive.
  89. Action:  Move or erase files to increase the available disk space
  90.          or specify a different drive.
