  5. * Current License holders may request Service in diskette media by
  6. * contacting IBM Software Solution Services at 1-800-992-4777.
  7. *
  8. * In the past service was known as ServicePaks, and FixPaks. ServicePaks
  9. * are more complete, cumulative, regression tested packages.  They were
  10. * larger in size, and generally available in diskette, and electronic    .
  11. * media, and FixPaks are smaller and more component oriented then
  12. * some ServicePaks.  FixPaks were generally available only in electronic
  13. * media after completing test.  Other FixPaks that had not completed
  14. * testing could be obtained by contacting the Software Solutions
  15. * Services team at 1-800-992-4777.
  16. *
  17. * All future LAN Server service will adopt the same naming convention
  18. * for service that is used by the OS/2 (Base), DB2/2, CM/2 and all the
  19. * PSP Product line of products.  The term 'FixPak' will be used for all
  20. * future reference for all service offerings for LS and PSP Products.
  21. * However some will be termed Public FixPaks, and some will be Controlled
  22. * FixPaks.  The Public FixPaks may be a total cumulative service that
  23. * would be available in diskette and electronic media.  Or they may be
  24. * like what we now term generally available FixPaks, that are available
  25. * in electronic media only.  Controlled FixPaks will not be generally
  26. * available until they complete testing.  Controlled FixPaks can only be
  27. * obtained by contacting the Software Solutions Services Team at the
  28. * 1-800-992-4777 number, or your local LAN Server support team.
  29. *
  30. * NLV support will be provided for the full cumulative, regression tested
  31. * packages, referred to in the past as ServicePaks.  There may also be
  32. * situations that would require a NLV specific Public FixPak for one, or
  33. * more countries.  This would be determined by FixPak Service and Test
  34. * Team, based on customer need.
  35. *
  36. * This naming convention will be integrated in all future service.  The
  37. * ServicePaks currently in process will remain as ServicePaks.  All the
  38. * FixPaks will be labeled as Public or Controlled in all future releases.
  39. *
  40. * A complete updated list of LAN Server 3.0/4.0, MPTS, and NTS/2 FixPaks
  41. * is available in a file called LAN_PTF PACKAGE.  It is available on the
  42. * Internet, OS2CSD, CompuServ, OS2BBS, LANCSD, PCCBBS, and othet BBS's
  43. * and electronic media sources.

  63. *       Library - GO IBMOS2 IBM DF2 Forum, then go to appropriate
  64. *       section Database, Comm Manager, LAN Server.

  66. *     o Internet: Do an anonymous FTP from ps.boulder.ibm.com. at
  67. *       /ps/products/lan, db2, nts/2, etc../fixes/version/country.

  69. *     o OS2CSD and NLOS2CSD Disks: Internal use only listed by the
  70. *       package name (ie..WR06035 US, IPG7045 Germany, etc..)

  88. *         WR06003, WR06004, WR06014, and WR06015 SelectPaks.
  89. *
  90. * WRx6036 The DBCS country(Japan, and Taiwan)version of WRx6035 plus
  91. *         AT Bus support.
  92. *
  93. * WRx6040 Distributed Database Connection Services/2 (DDCS/2) Ver 1.0
  94. *         ServicePak, All NLV countries are available.

  189. *         service offerings:

  194. *             5.0)

  198. *           o WR08150 ServicePak (MPTS for LS 4.0)

  216. * IPx8185 This Public FixPak Services the IBM PEER for OS/2 Product to
  217. *         include fixes for OS/2 LAN Requester, and UPM.  This FixPak
  218. *         will be available in electronic media only.  However it may
  219. *         be included in the upcoming IPx8250 Bundle with several other
  220. *         service offerings on CD-ROM.  No diskette media is available
  221. *         for this FixPak.  The U.S. is now available and NLV support
  222. *         for EMEA, and DBCS countries is targeted for early third
  223. *         quarter 1996.

  227. * SERVICE FOR LAN SERVER 3.0 / LAN SERVER 4.0
  228. *
  229. * IPx7060 This is a Cumulative ServicePak for LS 3.0 and supports RIPL,
  230. *         UPM, LS Requester and Server, NTS/2, DLR and LSP 1.38 fixes.
  231. *         RIPL support has also been incorporated for the WARP ver3
  232. *         (which enhances existing DOS and Windows), and WARP ver3
  233. *         (which includes DOS and Windows application support).
  234. *         This ServicePak will supersede IPx7045 and will provide service
  235. *         for LS 3.00.1 IP07040 Manufacturing Refresh.  This ServicePak
  236. *         is available in U.S., EMEA and DBCS countries.  This package
  237. *         supersedes IP07045.
  238. *
  239. * IPx8150 This is a Cumulative ServicePak for LS 4.0 and WARP Connect LAN
  240. *         Server 4.0.  LS Entry and Advanced (HPFS) Servers, the Req, UPM
  241. *         UPM, RIPL, and Fault Tolerance components are serviced by this
  242. *         package.
  243. *         This package may be used by the following Multi-Codepage
  244. *         countries; United-Kingdom, Denmark, the Netherlands, Finland,
  245. *         and Portugal.
  246. *         LSP1.38, and DOS LAN Services 4.0 are serviced as separately
  247. *         installable packages for DOS and Windows application support.
  248. *         This ServicePak will supersede the following LS 4.0 FixPaks:
  249. *         IP08003, IP08005, IP08011, IP08012, IP08036, IP08037, IP08039,
  250. *         IP08040, IP08041, IP08042.  U.S. is superseded by IPx8152. EMEA
  251. *         and DBCS versions will be taken from the IPx8152 builds.
  252. *
  253. * IPx8152 This ServicePak supersedes IP08150.  It includes all functional
  254. *         content of IP08150 (listed in above paragraph) as well as some
  255. *         corrections to a problem which affects BACKACC and UPS.  This
  256. *         package also corrects a logon performance problem that occurs
  257. *         when Servers are doing a full NET.ACC synchronization.  If
  258. *         IPx8150 been previously applied, and the above application
  259. *         scenario not being used it is not necessary to apply this.
  260. *
  261. * IPx8222 This ServicePak will supersede IPx8152 for LAN Server 4.0.  The
  262. *         LAN Server 4.0 Entry and Advanced (HPFS) Servers, Requester,
  263. *         UPM, RIPL, and Fault Tolerance components are serviced by this
  264. *         package.  This is a cumulative service from IPx8000 Gold.
  265. *         This ServicePak is available in diskette media and will provide
  266. *         NLV support for EMEA, and DBCS countries third quarter 1996.
  267. *         It will also be packaged in the CD-ROM Bundle IPx8250.  This
  268. *         will supersede IPx8152, plus FixPaks created post IPx8152.
  269. *
  270. * IPx8260 This Public FixPak is Warp Server 5.0 components.  It will
  271. *         service Entry and Advanced (HPFS) Servers, Requester, UPM,
  272. *         RIPL, Fault Tolerance, DOS LAN Services, and LSP.  This is
  273. *         a cumulative service from IPx8200 Gold.  This FixPak will be
  274. *         available in diskette media and provide NLV support for EMEA
  275. *         and DBCS countries.  The target for release of this service
  276. *         for the US version is late June or early July 1996.  NLV
  277. *         versions for EMEA and DBCS countries will be available late
  278. *         third quarter.
  279. *
  280. *************************************************************************
  281. * NTS/2 NETWORK TRANSPORT SERVICES/2 and LAPS LAN ADAPTER and PROTOCOL
  282. * SUPPORT (Combined package), and MPTS.
  283. *
  284. * WRx7045 Service for NTS/2 and LAPS v2.20.1, This ServicePak/Refresh
  285. *         will ship as a separate ServicePak, it also is shipped as
  286. *         part of the ServicePak IPx7045 for LS 3.0, and supersedes
  287. *         WRx7020.  This package includes all APARS included in the
  288. *         NTS/2 LAPS refresh 2.20.1, plus four additional APARS.
  289. *         Some of the BBS's may not package the IPx7045 and WRx7045
  290. *         together.  Make certain that you have both packages before
  291. *         applying IPx7045.
  292. *
  293. *         NLV support is available for both EMEA and DBCS countries.
  294. *
  295. * WRx7060 This ServicePak will service LAPS V2.11 or higher for LAN
  296. *         Adapter and Protocol support, and NTS/2.  For levels below
  297. *         V2.11 WR07045 will need to be applied.  This diskettes for
  298. *         this package can still be obtained from Boulder in diskette
  299. *         media, plus should still be available electronically from
  300. *         several sources.  The following versions of LAPS can be
  301. *         serviced with this package;
  302. *
  303. *           o LAPS V2.11, LAPS V2.20, LAPS V2.20.1, and LAPS V2.20.2.
  304. *
  305. *         This package also includes a separately installable NTS/2
  306. *         BonusPak.  This contains MAC drivers for OEM adapter cards,
  307. *         new applets, an updated SRVIFS, and an upgraded CID install
  308. *         utility.
  309. *         This package will not be needed if the LS 3.0 ServicePak
  310. *         IP07060 has been applied.
  311. *         U.S, EMEA, and DBCS country support is available for this
  312. *         ServicePak.  This supersedes WRx7045 ServicePaks.
  313. *
  314. * WRx8150 This ServicePak will service the LAN Server 4.0 MPTS (Multiple
  315. *         Protocol Transport Services) This package is for LAN Server 4.0
  316. *         products using the non-converged stack for transports.
  317. *         This ServicePak will supersede the following FixPaks: WR08021,
  318. *         and WR08022.
  319. *         U.S. EMEA and DBCS support will is available.
  320. *
  321. * WRx8152 This ServicePak will service the LAN Server 4.0 MPTS delivered
  322. *         in WARP Connect using the converged stack for transports
  323. *         (Multiple Transport Services).  This ServicePak will supersede
  324. *         the following FixPak WR08023.
  325. *         U.S. is available now,  NLV support will ship as WRx8210 (see
  326. *         below).
  327. *
  328. * WRx8210 This ServicePak will service MPTS for the Converged Stack for
  329. *         transports (Multiple Transport Services).  This will also sync
  330. *         up with the TCP/IP service offering to avoid backleveling the
  331. *         TCP/IP modules required by MPTS.  NLV support for EMEA and the
  332. *         DBCS countries will be available second quarter 1996. This
  333. *         ServicePak will also be included in the CD-ROM bundle IPx8250
  334. *         This will supersede WR08152 and will be shipped for NLV support
  335. *         to EMEA, and DBCS countries as WRx8210.  This will Pre-Req
  336. *         UN00067 (U200067) for TCP/IP V3.0 users that want to apply
  337. *         this ServicePak.  This will also be a Pre-Req for TCP/IP V3.0
  338. *         users who apply UN00067 (U200067).  NLV support is targeted
  339. *         for third quarter release 1996.
  340. *
  341. * UN00067 This FixPak is for TCP/IP V3.0 users (Warp Connect).  This will
  342. *         require WRx8210 to be applied also.  This package will sync
  343. *         MPTS Warp Connect and TCP/IP V3.0 users together.  WRx8210
  344. *         users that use TCP/IP V3.0 will also be required to apply
  345. *         this FixPak.  This will be available in electronic media only
  346. *         as UN00067 (The same as the syslevel).  There will be no NLV
  347. *         versions, this will be shipped with all NLV version IPx8250
  348. *         Service Bundles.  (This will not be needed for Warp Server
  349. *         V3.1 users that are applying WRx8210 for MPTS LS 5.0).
  350. *         (PTF number in Retain will be U200067 for APARs)
  351. *

  354. * IPx7050 This ServicePak is intended to service LAN Distance V1.1
  355. *         Entry or Advanced Servers, and OS/2, or Windows Remote
  356. *         Clients.  In addition to providing service it also added
  357. *         support for X.25 Native Adapters, NetWare, IBM ISDN Primary
  358. *         Rate Adapter Enablement, Banyan VINES Token Ring for OS/2
  359. *         Remote Client,  Auto LANStreamer Adapters (Token Ring
  360. *         Promiscuous Mode), and Enablement for Security User Exits.
  361. *         Japanese versions, and limited EMEA versions are available.
  362. *
  363. * IPx8175 This ServicePak is intended to service LAN Distance V1.1
  364. *         and V1.11.  It will apply to the following versions of LAN
  365. *         Distance:  IBM LAN Distance Connection Server for OS/2, and
  366. *         8 - port Version 1.1 and 1.11, for use with OS/2 2.0 or
  367. *         higher.  IBM LAN Distance Remote Version 1.1 and Version
  368. *         1.11.  IBM LAN Distance Remote for Windows Version 1.1 and
  369. *         Version 1.11, for use with OS/2 2.0 or higher.
  370. *
  371. * IPx8205 This ServicePak will service LAN Distance v1.1, and V1.11.
  372. *         This will supersede IPx8175, and add enhancement as well as
  373. *         service. NLV versions for Japan, Germany, Italy, Spain, and
  374. *         France will ship for this instead of NLV versions for IPx8175.
  375. *         All the country versions are now available.
  376. *         This package has been refreshed to add Warp Server enablement.

  379. * IPx8250 This Service Bundle intends to package the following service
  380. *         offerings on a CD-ROM:  LAN Server 4.0 - IPx8222, MPTS
  381. *         (Converged-Stack) - WRx8210, TCP/IP - PTF U200067, LAN
  382. *         Server Macintosh (LSM) IPx6200, LAN Distance IPx8205.
  383. *         OS/2 PEER IPx8185, and  FixPak 17 for OS/2 WARP XR_W017,
  384. *         and WRx8150 for LS 4.0 MPTS.  This will be available in
  385. *         CD-ROM media only in a type of one button install.  The
  386. *         NLV versions for EMEA and DBCS countries are targeted
  387. *         for completion third quarter 1996.

  391. * IPx6200 This ServicePak will service OS/2 LAN Server for Macintosh
  392. *         V1.0(LSM).  This is cumulative and will provide service from
  393. *         IPx6000 Golden version.  All NLV Version are available for
  394. *         France, Germany, and Japan.
  395. *         This replaces LSMMOD9 Package.
