Hijack? In the great tradition of supplying software that emulates the
function of a successful package? Hardly anything to object to other than the
probability that Microsoft will grab a large chunk of the instant messaging
market by using their OS as leverage and then promptly make their instant
messaging incompatible with any other.

Well, of course we know that's what they are planning, this is MS
afterall. The game plan is well known.
I was referring to their piracy of the AOL chat servers and the
hijacking of the user passwords...in order to make their system
work, MS asks the user for their AOL password and then uses the
AOL servers as a relay *for*their*messages*, without
authorization from AOL. In the legal industry, they call that:
"theft of services". Nothing new for MS though...just SOP.
