  16. Warp Shutdown is a public release program that displays informative messages to the user as they are
  17. shutting down.

  24. Did you ever notice that, if you have the IBM peer service running in OS/2 Warp version 4, the system will
  25. never tell you what it is doing on a shutdown?  I have and it was very annoying.
  26. Until you figure out what is going on you think that your machine has locked up during the shutdown
  27. process.  OS/2 Warp 3 does not suffer from this apparent oversight.  Therefore the software I've written
  28. here works on Warp 3 but there really is no point to it.

  30. Well, I noticed the problem and I wrote this program to correct it.  The program will do the following
  31. upon execution;
  32.  
  33.          1. look for IBM peer services
  34.             log you off of the network
  35.             stop the IBM peer services (if started)
  36.             write data to the disk and shutdown
  37.
