  19. Subject: ACT! 1.0 For Windows: "Could not open one of the phonebook 
  20.          files"

  22. Situation:
  23. ==========
  24. When printing to WinFax from ACT! 1.0 for Windows, the message "Could 
  25. not open one of the phonebook files" appears.
  26.  
  27. Solution:
  28. =========
  29. Click the OK button to clear the message dialog, and then address your 
  30. fax manually.
  31.  
  32. To stop the message from appearing, close the ACT! database before 
  33. printing to WinFax.
  34.  
  35. If you send most of your faxes from ACT! 1.0, you can correct the 
  36. problem by setting up the ACT! phonebook file as your only WinFax 
  37. phonebook. To do this:
  38.  
  39. 1.  Make backup copies of your existing WinFax phonebook files.
  40.  
  41. 2.  Delete all current WinFax phonebooks.
  42.  
  43. 3.  Add the ACT! phonebook file ACT.DBF to WinFax. This phonebook is
  44.     read-only in WinFax, meaning you must add or delete phonebook records
  45.     in ACT!.

  55.         April 21, 1993, you should upgrade to the WinFax PRO maintenance
