  4. Help for progress status window

  7. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.1. Progress Status Window - Main Window Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  9. This status window will display activities which occur while the XXXXXXX 
  10. software is running.  Progress status is grouped and divided into categories. 
  11. An example of a category is 'Client Installation'.  Once an activity has 
  12. started, its associated progress will continue to display until that activity 
  13. has completed.  Once completed, the progress control will be deleted. 
  14.  
  15. If a problem occurred while performing an activity, the activity control will 
  16. halt and you will be allowed to delete it.  When this occurs a 'Confirm' button 
  17. will enable allowing the removal of the control representing the activity.  You 
  18. will only be allowed to remove a control by pressing its associated 'Confirm' 
  19. button.

  21. The 'Confirm' button could activate for the following reasons: 
  22.  
  23. o The activity was unable to complete 
  24.  
  25. o The communication between the activity and the progress server has failed. 
  26.  
  27. o The program managing the activity had a catrostrophic failure 
  28.  
  29. Note:  Remember, that a control will automatically delete if the activity that 
  30. it represents completes in its entirety.

  33. ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ 1.2. Close Button - Help ΓòÉΓòÉΓòÉ

  35. Closes the Progress Indicator window.  However, pressing this button will have 
  36. no affect upon the actual activities which are reporting progress.  You may 
  37. reopen the Progress Status window at any time and those activities will display 
  38. their correct progress. If the 'Close' button is disabled, you are not allowed 
  39. to hide this window.  You may, however, minimize the window by pressing the 
  40. minimize button in the upper right hand corner of the Progress Status Window.

  45. Pressing this button will retrieve the help for the entire screen 
  46.

  50. This message box will display when an error occurs with the Progress Status 
  51. Window.  This message corresponds to a problem which occured while the Progress 
  52. Status Window was adding a new activity to its list of activities for a 
  53. particular progress category.  The activity which the control actually 
  54. represents will remain unaffected.  All other machine activity is unaffected. 
  55. Please write down the error text located within the message box as well as the 
  56. phrase 'add activity' and report this message to DataCard.

  59. always processes requests from all parts of the system.

  64. This message box will display when an error occurs while the Progress Status 
  65. Window was removing an activity (.75), enabling a 'Confirm' button (.15), or 
  66. updating a control (.10) for a particular progress category.  The activity 
  67. which the status represents will remain unaffected.  All other machine activity 
  68. will remain unaffected.  However, please write down the message within the 
  69. message box as well as the phrase 'removing activity' and report this error to 
  70. DataCard.

  73. always processes requests from all parts of the system.

  78. This message box will display when an error occurs while the Progress Status 
  79. Window was processing a 'Confirm' button click for a particular progress 
  80. control. The activity which the status represents will remain unaffected.  All 
  81. other machine activity will remain unaffected.  However, please write down the 
  82. message text within the message box as well as the key phrase 'process Confirm' 
  83. and report this error to DataCard.

  92. Window was processing an activity light state change for a given Activity. The 
  93. actual activity which the status represents will remain unaffected.  All other 
  94. machine activity will remain unaffected.  However, please write down the 
  95. message text located within the message box as well as the key phrase 'process 
  96. AL' and report this error to DataCard.

  105. Window was processing an resize message for the entire Progress Status Window. 
  106. All operations are completely unaffected.  All other machine activity will 
  107. remain unaffected.  However, please write down the message text located within 
  108. the message box as well as the key phrase 'PISizeHandler/PIButtonSizeHandler 
  109. windowResize' and report this error to DataCard.
