  31.    The OpenDoc Templates folder contains sample parts that can be used to 
  32.    create OpenDoc documents, as shown in <a href="#FIG4610S1Y">Figure 118</a>.

  45.    You can drag and drop any template icon to the Desktop or a folder to 
  46.    create a new OpenDoc document.  The following are short descriptions for 
  47.    each part: 
  48. <p>
  49.    1.  2D Graphics is a 2D graphics-handling part. 
  50. <p>
  51.    2.  Page Layout is a scrollable, multi-page container part that allows you 
  52.        to see, on screen, how a document will look when printed. 
  53. <p>
  54.    3.  Text Part is a base text-handling part. 
  55. <p>
  56.    4.  Cookbook Part does not have any functions available to the user.  It 
  57.        is in the sample templates folder for the developers. 
  58. <p>
  59.    5.  Hello World Part shows you an example of a PM control as an OpenDoc 
  60.        part.  You can see a counter incrementing as you click the mouse 
  61.        button. 
  62. <p>
  63.    6.  Push Button Part shows you an example of a PM control as an OpenDoc 
  64.        part. You can see a message window by pressing the push button. 
  65. <p>
  66.    7.  Ticker Tape 1 Part shows you a ticker tape text scrolling in its 
  67.        frame. 
  68. <p>
  69.    8.  Ticker Tape 2 Part shows you a ticker tape text scrolling in its frame 
  70.        as does Ticker Tape 1 Part.  This part handler subclasses from Ticker 
  71.        Tape 1; it inherits all of Ticker Tape 1 part's features.  This 
  72.        handler has improved upon the updating of ticker tape text.  This is 
  73.        an example of how new features can be built upon a part handler by 
  74.        subclassing from that part handler for the developers with its source 
  75.        code.

  77.    9.  Container Part demonstrates changing the menu to share it by parts, 
  78.        embedding other parts, and drag and drop.
