<pre width="80">
Drag and drop is a mechanism very similar to the Cut/Copy/Paste without
using the clipboard as intermediate storage. Dragging, meaning copying or
moving a part, is supported in different ways. For the transfer of large
data streams, OpenDoc can store promises in the storage units instead of
the whole data. Only if the target component accepts the copy or move,
does the data actually get transferred. A copy operation provided by
OpenDoc also supports the copy of other components being embedded in the
copied component. Drag and drop is also supported between OS/2 folders
and OpenDoc documents.
